Greg L. Tucker

Greg L. Tucker, born on November 27, 1964, to Loudelle S. Hooker and the late Lloyd Tucker, passed away at his home on April 29, 2024.

Greg worked for Norfolk Southern for 30+ years, family was the most important thing to him, and he took pride in taking care of them. He loved adventure and the beauty of discovering new places. He was a proud member of a biker gang, “The Old Spokes.” He could rebuild any gun and shoot any target. Music was a part of his soul, and he answered every call!  Greg was a husband, father, son, brother, papa, great grand papa, and friend.

He leaves behind his loving wife Cheryl Tucker, daughter Angela Taylor and her husband Jack, mother Loudelle S. Hooker, daughter-in-law Angela Lee, brother-in-law Lawton Jones and sister Lesa Register and her husband Dewy.

His legacy lives on through his twelve grandchildren: Kayla, Kent, Summer, Alyssa, Dawson, Hunter, Chance, Tyler, Autumn, Rachael, Cameron, and Scotty, as well as his eleven great-grandchildren: Sadie, Adaline, Anastasia, Bryson R., Hunter Jr., Carter, Aden, Bryson F., Carson, Kailyn, and Waylon.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Tucker, his son, Todd Lee, his mother-in-law Doris Tweddell and father-in-law L.T. Tweddell.

Services to honor Greg's life will be held at 11am on Friday, May 3, 2024, at the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. A Visitation will be held one hour prior. May his memory bring comfort and solace to those who knew and loved him. Online condolences may be shared at www.mclanecares.com.
