Grady L. Stalvey, 82, of Hahira, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Berrien County Hospital in Nashville. He was born on May 17, 1928 in Berrien County to the late Bryant and Louise Rountree Stalvey. Mr. Stalvey was an electrician, was a United States Air Force veteran, was a member of Friendship Primitive Baptist Church and he enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by four daughters and three sons in law, Pam Williams and Jan and Greg Ferrell of Hahira, Greda and Rodney Tyson of Valdosta, Julie and Sam Henderson of Manor, one son, Gary Stalvey of Hahira, six grandchildren and their spouses, Christie and Jody Bullard, Jarrod and Nina Carter, Courtney and Paul Coppage, Leslie and Tony Durgin, Victor Henderson, Laken Stalvey, eleven great grandchildren, one sister, Margie McClelland of Adel, three brothers and sisters in law, Freddy and Nancy Stalvey and Johnny and Brenda Stalvey of Hahira and Ruth Stalvey of Valdosta. Mr. Stalvey is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Allen Stalvey, one granddaughter, Angie Williams Copeland Holtzclaw and one brother, Winston Stalvey.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at four p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Elder Thad Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from seven until nine p. m. Thursday at the funeral home.
