Grace Young Groover Kemp

Grace Young Groover Kemp, 99, of Valdosta died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born on December 1, 1914 in Madison, FL to the late Higdon Young Groover and Cassie Lee "Ma" Groover. Mrs. Kemp was a homemaker and a member of Benevolence Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Linda and John Register of Gulf Breeze, FL, her son and daughter in law, Wallace Ray and Carol Kemp of Valdosta, two grandsons, Johnny Register (Brandy) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Will Kemp (Carol) of Valdosta, four great grandchildren, Walker Kemp, Benjamin Kemp, Ayla Register and John Register. Mrs. Kemp is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wallace Kemp and her sister, Maude Smith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 at 11:30 a. m. at the graveside at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Reverend Wayne Boykin officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from 10 a. m. until 11 a. m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to United Hospice, 407 Cowart Avenue, Valdosta, GA 31602.
