Grace Rutherford Walker

GRACE RUTHERFORD WALKER, 90, of Valdosta died Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Berrien County Hospital. She was born on December 19, 1914 in Berrien County to the late Everett and Mary Taylor Rutherford and had lived in Valdosta most of her life. Mrs. Walker was a retired textile worker for more than thirty years and was a member of the Forrest Street Church of God.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Rev. Loyce (Buddy) and Bessie Walker of Nashville, five grandchildren, Dianne Pittman of Welaka, Fla., Loyce (Mike) Walker of Valdosta, Pam DeLaHunt of Chancellor, Ala., Kim Prescott of St. Marys, GA. and Steve Walker of Atlanta and 11-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, P. H. Walker.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at the Forrest Street Church of God with Rev. Jerry Greer and Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
