Grace Dasher Waller, 82, of Valdosta, was released from earthly suffering to eternal renewal with her savior on Wednesday, April 11, 2007. Born in Lowndes County in 1924, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Betty Timmerman Dasher. Mrs. Waller was retired from Levi Strauss. She was a member of Forrest Park Church of Christ.
Survivors are two daughters and a son in law, Elaine Johnson, Evelyn and Sonny Waller of Valdosta, two sons and a daughter in law, Earl Ingram of Valdosta, Randy and Lisa Ingram of Monticello, Florida, seven grandchildren, Brandi and Andre Moore of Montgomery, Alabama, Jamie and Heidi Waller of Jefferson, Jennifer and Johnny VanDerhayden, Jason Ingram, Whitney Ingram, John Lee Ingram, Allegra Peters all of Valdosta, a great grandchild, Luke Waller; sisters, Loette Perry, Jesse Shaw, Jewell Courson all of Valdosta, her husband, William Waller, Sr., of Dublin, stepson, Warren Waller of Dublin, and numerous niece and nephews. Mrs. Waller was preceded in death by a son, James E. “Butch” Ingram and her former husband, Linton Earl Ingram.
Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Forrest Park Church of Christ. Mr. Bob Rowell and Mr. Ray Joyner will officiate. Committal will follow at Welcome Hill Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Odyssey Hospice. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
