Grace Darley Kinsey, 81, of Echols County, died on Friday, September 24, 2010, at her home. She was born in Brunswick, on May 4, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Clarence Darley and Ethel Page Darley. Mrs. Kinsey was a homemaker and member of Wrights Chapel United Methodist Church where she served in many leadership areas. She came to Echols County in 1946 when she married the love of her life and devoted her life to caring for her family and her community.
Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Paul, Jr. and Pam Kinsey of Valdosta, Ronald and Lisa Kinsey of Echols County, daughters and sons in law, Chris and Dan Bremer of Lake Park & Karen and Randy Hiers of Echols County; brother in law, Manuel Kinsey of Echols County; brother and sister in law, Jeff and Kay Darley of Jesup; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Paul W. Kinsey, Sr., a sister and brother in law, Thera and Roy Graham, sister and brother in law, Geraldine and Arvin Boatwright.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Wright's Chapel United Methodist Church. Reverend Jacque Asbel and Dr. John McGowan will officiate. Burial will follow at Wright's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Mrs. Kinsey will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until service time.
