Glynn Thomas Ellis, Sr.

Glynn Thomas Ellis, Sr. 90, of Valdosta died Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Lakehaven Nursing Home. He was born on March 9, 1924 in Forsyth, Georgia to the late Charles, Sr. and Ruth McGhee Ellis and had lived in Valdosta for many years. Mr. Ellis is a member of Westside Baptist Church. He retired as an electrical engineer from Georgia Power Company and a Mason.
Survivors include his wife his wife, Carolyn Ellis of Valdosta, three sons and two daughters in law, Glynn, Jr. and Dyana Ellis of Statesboro, Rick Ellis, Randy and Iris Ellis all of Valdosta, seven grandchildren, Deserea (Jarrod) Brogdon, Shaun Ellis, Meagan (Josh) Owen, Matthew Ellis, Whitney Ellis, Brent Ellis and Leigh Ellis; great grandchildren, Anna Owen, Victoria Fiveash and Kadyn Fiveash; two sisters and a brother in law, Tommie and C. L. Mitchell of Pavo, Annette Dickey of Columbus, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Friday, October 24, 2014 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Dr. Ernie Jones officiating. Entombment will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-3pm at the funeral home.
