It is with great sadness that the family of Gloria George Neuda of Valdosta, Georgia announces her passing after a brief illness, on March 16, 2018, at the age of 86. Gloria will be remembered lovingly by her husband of 46 years, Paul Neuda. She was the daughter of the late Carlo George and Sadie Mansour George.
She attended the University of Florida and then went on to graduate with a degree in Social Work at Valdosta State College. After graduation, she dedicated her life to the service of the community working at the Department of Family and Children Services for over 30 years. After retirement, she enjoyed helping her husband, Paul, with his business as well as spending more time with her family. Gloria, also known to her family members as “Gogi”, loved her family fiercely. She was a pillar of support and love to all of those around her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her step-daughter Aurelia Neuda, her sister, Barbara George Shapiro, as well as, all of her nieces and nephews and special cousins, Leona Abood and Sister Angela Abood.
The family will receive visitors at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church on Monday, March 19th, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM.
A funeral service in memory of Gloria will be held following visitations on Monday, March 19th at 1:00 o’clock at St. John Evangelist Church followed by a burial at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Father Brian LaBurt officiating.
