Glenn (Pops) Treadwell, Sr.

Glenn (Pops) Treadwell, Sr., 69, of Valdosta, went home to his Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on April 3, 1941 in Conyers to the late Boyce Lee and Bonnie Beatrice Brimer Treadwell. Pops and Nanny lived in Hephzibah, Ga. for many years before making their home in Valdosta two years ago. Pops was a self employed brick mason for over 40 years. He especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He also enjoyed working in the yard and fishing.

He leaves behind, his wife, Johnnie Mae Wilkes Treadwell (Nanny) of Valdosta, six children and their spouses, Angie and Rick Mathews of Augusta, Glenn Treadwell, Jr. of Grovetown, John and Kathleen Treadwell of Burlington, NC., Pam and Steve Mixon of Evans, Joey and Rex Michael of Augusta, Jason and Jessica Treadwell of Guntown, MS., 17-grandchildren, 5-great grandchildren, two sisters, Marie Bales of Augusta, Lois Krause of Delaware and one brother, B. L. Treadwell of Thompson, GA.
