Gladys Elouise Ellenberg

Gladys Elouise Ellenberg, 84, of Quitman died Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Langdale Hospice House. She was born on September 7, 1938 in Brooks County to the late James P. and Ella Mae Hutchinson Ellenberg. Gladys was a retired machine operator at Dowling Bag Company and a member of the Methodist faith. She loved working in her yard and her flowers. Miss Ellenberg enjoyed sewing, spending time at the beach, making people laugh and word search puzzles. She loved her nephews and spending time with them.

Gladys is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Leon “Pete” Roberson, Sr. of Valdosta, three nephews, Leon Roberson, Jr. (Cindy) of Raleigh, NC, Gregory Alan Roberson (Lisa) of Madison, FL and Jason Scott Roberson (Shana) of Warner Robins, GA, six great nieces and nephews, many friends and neighbors.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 at two p. m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman with Reverend John Akers officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from one thirty p. m. until service time at the cemetery.
