Gladys Clifton Williams

GLADYS CLIFTON WILLIAMS, 78, of Lake Park died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Smith Northview Hospital. She was born on October 11, 1926 in Tampa, Florida to the late Barney Hampton and Kate Cribb Clifton and had lived in Lowndes County most of her life. Mrs. Williams was a courier for the Doctors Laboratory.

Survivors include a daughter, Jo Lynn Evans of Valdosta, two sons, Roy Lee (Tony) Wilson of Lake Park, Danny Joe Smith, Sr. of Toombs County, GA., 7-grandchildren, 6-great grandchildren, one sister, Doris Sheppard of Valdosta, one brother, Tommy Clifton of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert V. Williams, a granddaughter, Tina, a sister, Mary Laura Bendever and four brothers, B. H. Clifton, Jr., Jimmy Clifton, Carl Clifton and John C. Clifton.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Charlie Scarbrough officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
