Geraldine E. Moon

Geraldine E. Moon, 62, of Lake Park, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015, at her home.

She was born December 22, 1952, in Lakeland, a daughter of the late Edgar L. and Bessie Mae Martin Griffin. Mrs. Moon was a former member of Morningside Baptist Church. She loved her home life, and making it the best she could for her beloved husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed working in her yard and the company of her two dogs.

She is survived by her six children, Daniel B. Weeks of Lake Park, Melissa G. Weeks of Gaston, NC, Shannon M. Bynum and Husband Tommy of Enigma, Melissa Ann Lewis of Clovis, NM, Charles H. Moon of Valdosta, and Kimberly R. Moon of Ashland City, TN; sixteen grandchildren, Billy Andrew Weeks, Jason Hancock, Tamera Hancock, Christopher Bynum, Austin Bynum, Emily Bynum, Jessica and Tyler Hancock, Dewayne Shaver, Ryan V. Storey, Ashley N. Lewis, Chandler J. Moon, Amanda Antonelli, Jessica Gassen, Dylan Butler, Mackenzie (Tootsie) Moon; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Billy Joe and Donna Griffin of Lake City, FL, Robert and Sandy Griffin of Summerset, KY, Reda and Joe Johnson of Fargo, ND, Pauline and Tom Wilson of Nashville, Carlton and Vena Griffin of Quitman, and Dolly and Antonio Alvarado of Nashville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Ronnie" Moon.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Moon will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Interment will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
