Georgia Ethel Webb Snow

Georgia Ethel Webb Snow, 90, of Valdosta, and formerly of Dixie and Lake Park, died on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Heritage House Nursing Home. Born in Valdosta on December 6, 1926, to the late Charles Silas & Effie Lee Exum Webb, she had been a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Snow worked for many years as a dietician at Pineview General Hospital, which later was renamed, South Georgia Medical Center. She retired in 1972 after 20 years of work. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, she loved her 'babies.' Mrs. Snow was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her five sons and daughters in law, Bill & Sherry Starling of Valdosta, A.C. & Sherry Starling of Belton, TX, Charles & Margaret Starling of Valdosta, Lee & Linda Starling of Chapin, SC, and Steve & Liz McPhaul of Auburn, AL and a daughter and son in law, Sandra & Daniel Danowski of Valdosta. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; a niece and her husband, Laura & Roger Tomlinson of Louisiana and a nephew, Patrick McGrogan of Valdosta. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Snow and a sister Ann McGrogan.
Funeral services for Mrs. Snow will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Her son, Lee Starling and Pastor Jimmy Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
