Georgia Alene Staton Lynch, 67, of Morven died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at her home. She was born in Hahira on September 9, 1945 to the late James Wilson and Leona Louise Lanning Staton and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Lynch was a member of the Morrison Baptist Church and enjoyed working with her flowers.
Survivors include her son, Mitchell Lynch of Unadilla, NY, daughter and son in law, Melissa (Missy) and Chris Carter of Lake Park, stepdaughters and stepson in law, Micki and Joe Wilkins of Forsyth, Sheri King of Woodstock, her grandchildren, Crystal Ashton Carter, Kelsey Danielle Carter, Meghan Sarah Lynch, Tyler Wakefield, Christopher Wakefield, Brett King and Chris King, two sisters and a brother in law, Mona and Ed Powers of Morven, Millie Phelps of Hahira, two brothers and sisters in law, Kenneth and Linda Staton of Morven, Everett and Fay Staton of Adel, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Lynch and two sisters, Veda Dozier and Norma Jean Staton.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Billy Latham officiating. Entombment will follow in the McLane Riverview Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the Carson McLane Funeral Home, 2215 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA 31602.
