George Franklin (Frank) Dallas

September 22, 1951 — October 1, 2009

George Franklin (Frank) Dallas, 58, died on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born in Valdosta on September 22, 1951 and has been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a registered Rehab Nurse and received a business degree and a B.S. in Nursing from Valdosta State University. He was one of the founding fathers of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Golf was his passion and playing cards was another great joy. He loved his grandchildren immensely and enjoyed life to the fullest. He attended the 1st Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Kathy Kinard Dallas; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Michael Sale; daughter and her fiancée, Lauren Leigh Dallas and David Williams; a son, Tyler Dallas; granddaughters, Jayden Leigh Sale and Hallie Marie Sale; his mother, Vivian Welch Dallas, all of Valdosta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Linda Dallas of Nashville, Tennessee, and Scott and Brenda Dallas of Valdosta; sister-in-law, Cindy Kinard and mother-in-law, Edith Kinard both of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, George Everett Dallas and father-in-law, Andrew F. Kinard.

Services for George Franklin (Frank) Dallas will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2009 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Michael and Rev. Benny Oliff officiating. The burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
