George Clement Heise, 84, of Valdosta passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Mr. Heise was born on August 31, 1933 to the late, William J. and Anna Buscher Heise. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, retired Safety Engineer, and a Deacon of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Surviving Mr. Heise is his wife, Judith, Valdosta, three daughters, Catherine Sprinkle, Fincastle, VA; Lauren Heise, Crestview, FL, Caryn Switzer, Troutville, VA; two sons, Edward J. Heise, Kill Devil Hills, NC; Michael J. Heise, MD, Washington, PA; eleven grandchildren, two sisters, Fidelis Blieble, Litchfield, IL; Mary Joe Heise, Springfield, IL., three brothers, James A. Heise, Lena, IL., Charles D. Heise of Bluffton, SC; Thomas S. Heise of Peachtree City, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by two brothers and three sisters.
A memorial service mass will be held at 10am on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with Father Brian LaBurt officiating. Interment will follow at a later date in Old Dominion Cemetery in Roanoke, VA. A memorial mass will be held in Fincastle, VA on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11am in the Church of the Transfiguration.
