George Alton "Al" Coody

George Alton (Al) Coody, 69, of Valdosta died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on February 22, 1946 in Valdosta to the late Hubert Alton and Marie Ellizabeth Ellenberg Coody. Mr. Coody was affiliated with Victory Baptist Church and retired from Colson Printing. He loved the Lord, his family, fishing and mechanics.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Coody; his daughter and son in law, Missie and Jeff Atkison, Jr. all of Valdosta; sisters in law and brothers in law, Pam Dawson, Jerry and Joy McCann, Charles and Elaine McCann, Sandra Sims all of Valdosta, Joel and Maureen McCann of Boston, MA, Cecil McCann of Nashville, TN, Sue Ellen and Roger Snow of Lawton, OK.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm, Friday, November 6, 2015 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Dr. Steve Ward and Rev. Carlton Allen officiating.
