Genevieve Creasy

Genevieve Creasy, 92, of Valdosta, died on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was born in Camden County Georgia on September 5, 1931, to the late Joseph Terrell Ham and Ruby Clark Ham.   Mrs. Creasy graduated from Camden County and later earned her bachelor’s degree from the Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, Georgia.  She was a homemaker, professional cake decorator, and a certified ceramics teacher.  Mrs. Creasy was a member of Bemiss United Methodist Church.

She is survived by five sons and their spouses, Stan and Tyra Creasy, Wendell (Bubba) and Lisa Creasy, Terry and Amy Creasy, Ray Bruce Creasy all from Valdosta, Robert (Joey) Creasy and his partner Patricia Meeler of Nashville, Georgia; one daughter, Jennifer Creasy of Valdosta; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a niece, Melissa Ham and a nephew and his spouse, Donald and Kay Ham.  Mrs. Creasy was preceded by her husband, Franklin Creasy.

A graveside service for Genevieve Creasy will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Homeward Cemetery in Waverly, Georgia.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.  Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.   Carson McLane.
