Gary Curtis Pitts

Gary Curtis Pitts, 69, of Quitman, GA passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 14, 2015. He was born in Valdosta on May, 17, 1946 to the late Roy Jackson and Helen Louise Oliver Pitts and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Pitts served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In his later years, he enjoyed reading his bible and watching TV westerns.

Mr. Pitts is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lynne Pitts of Panama City, FL; his sister Diane DeVane of Valdosta; a special uncle, Jerry Oliver of Valdosta; numerous nieces and nephews and a generous extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Leon Pitts; two sisters and brother-in-law, Robin Pitts, Sharon and Bruce Williams; a brother, Kenneth Roy Pitts.

Services for Gary Pitts will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015 in the McLane Chapel. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at noon.
