Gary Barnard

Gary Barnard, 56, of Valdosta, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center.

Gary was born October 29, 1955 in Hahira, a son of the late A.J. Barnard and the late Eula Mae Foster. For the past twenty-five years Gary has been a plumber for Barnard Plumbing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Barnard; two daughters, Sara Barnard, Teressa Corbett and Jeffrey Cason; a grandson, Caleb Cason, all of Valdosta; three brothers, Russell Barnard and wife Glenda of Valdosta, Roger Barnard and wife Darlene of Panama City, FL, and Ronnie Barnard and Cathy Voight of Valdosta; one sister, Patricia B. Hopkins of Valdosta; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Barnard, and a sister, Gail Jones.

The Funeral Service for Gary will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2012, in the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Bruce McCracken officiating. Interment will follow at Webb Hendley Cemetery, Berrien County. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the home of his sister, Patricia Hopkins, 2597 Loch Laurel Road, Valdosta.
