Garie Schnitker

Garie Schnitker, 65, of Hahira, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Lakehaven Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
He was born December 1, 1950, in Norfolk, VA, a son of Phyllis Rohrbaugh Schnitker and the late William W. Schnitker. Garie was a Christian man, he loved his children and grandchildren. For many years he was a Meat Cutter, retiring from Harvey's in Hahira.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Pam Schnitker of Hahira; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joelle Schnitker of Valdosta, and Jenna and Demetris Wilson of Gainesville, FL; one son, Jacob Schnitker of Hahira; four grandchildren, Demetris, Kalissa and Jayden Wilson, and Dallin Garrett; his mother, Phyllis Schnitker of Virginia; a sister, Louise Jebsen and husband Gary of Virginia; a brother, Richard Schnitker and wife Loryann of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Garie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Cecil, with Brother Ike Jefferson officiating.
