Frederick Eugene Whitmore

Frederick Eugene Whitmore, 86, of Greenville, Florida, died on Friday, February 03, 2017, at Langdale Hospice House. Born in Winter Park, Florida, on April 22, 1930, he was the son of the late Frederick Lesley Whitmore and Mary Lomie Hattaway. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1956. Mr. Whitmore was an Eagle Scout and a four year veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed his farm, and he loved gardening and working with animals. His hobbies also included radios and electronics. Mr. Whitmore worked with IBM in computer repair and installation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Maureen Greenman Whitmore, and a grandson, Jeremy Benjamin Moore; he is survived by his sons, Fred (Katrina) Whitmore of Greenville, Florida, Kenneth Whitmore of DeBary, Florida; grandchildren, Kristoffer (Amber) Moore of Lake Park, Jennifer A. (John) Bradley of Wilson, North Carolina, Jessica A. (Ken) Utecht of Lake Park, Kenneth A. Whitmore of Petersburg, Alaska; great grandchildren, Zackery C. Moore of Lake Park and Lucas Fox Bradley of Wilson, North Carolina.
A private family service will be held for Mr. Whitmore.
