Freddie Hunter, 81, of Valdosta, passed away on Wednesday July 8, 2020 at Fellowship Home. He was born on March 25, 1939 in Valdosta to the late James E., Sr. and Bertha Plair Hunter. Freddie served his country in the United States Army and retired as a Sargent with the Valdosta Fire Department after 35 and a half years. He attended Northside Baptist Church
Freddie is survived by his sister, Sandra Watson, of Naylor; brothers, Earl Hunter (Karen), of Valdosta, Robert Hunter (Gail), of Dasher, Donald Hunter, of Lake Park, and Van Hunter (Lenora) of Valdosta; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Brooks, and two brothers, Jimmy Hunter, and Dale Hunter.
Graveside services for Freddie will be held on Saturday July 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Carter Cemetery with Dr. Gary Woods officiating.
