Fred Earle Blanton, Jr.

Fred Earle Blanton, Jr., 79, of Lake Park died Friday, December 11, 2020 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born in Valdosta on January 22, 1941 to the late Elder Fred E. (Sam), Sr. and Juanita Simpson Blanton and was a lifelong resident of Lowndes County. Mr. Blanton was a member of Unity Primitive Baptist Church and was retired from Ft. Worth Carriers. He enjoyed church, fishing, logging and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Lindsey Blanton of Lake Park; three daughters and sons in law, Donna and Donnie Lewis of Tallahassee, FL, Terri and Rick Rutland, Kathy and Timmy Nessmith all of Hahira; his grandchildren, Jordan and Cierra Neesmith of Cartersville, Dustin Lewis and his girlfriend, Gina Marucci, Dakota Lewis all of Tallahassee ,FL, Dillon Rutland of Thomasville, Jarrett Nessmith Thompson and Taylor Thompson of Acworth, Jessica and Travis Meeks of Powder Springs; three great grandchildren, Bobby Meeks of Powder Springs, Hayes Thompson of Acworth, Charleigh Brooke Nessmith of Cartersville; brother and sister in law, Sidney and Donna Blanton of Valdosta; sister and brother in law, Mary Kate and George Martin of Brunswick; special friend, Aldean Dukes of Dasher. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Taylor Lane Lewis and Kimber LeighAnn Lewis.
A private family burial will be held at a later time.
