Frank Rentz, Jr.

Frank Rentz, Jr., 73, of Valdosta, died at his residence on Thursday, February 7, 2008. Born on March 7, 1934 in Brooks County, he was the son of the late Frank, Sr. and Nolie Akins Rentz. He was an accounting technician and clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Rentz enjoyed Bluegrass festivals, RVing, and working in his shop. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and he was a member of the First Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Juanell Rentz of Valdosta; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Stacy Boutwell of Hahira, Donna West of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Chris Rentz of Columbus; five grandchildren, Jessica Barnes, Wade and Michele Boutwell, all of Valdosta, Stephanie and Rodney Tenery of Quitman, Wendy Rentz of Columbus, Ashley and Jimy Seward of Pensacola, FL Mr. Rentz is also survived by six great grandchildren, Shelby Boutwell of Valdosta, Gracie and Mikayla Tenery of Quitman, Akira, Jayde and Kalel Seward of Pensacola, FL; brother Allen Rentz of Lake Park, numerous nieces and nephews and he will be missed by his loving dogs, Daisy and Emmie. He is preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Flowers and his brother, Jack Rentz.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Cotterill officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
