Frank Jessie Chambers

Frank Jessie Chambers, 82, of Valdosta, passed away at South Georgia Medical Center on Monday April 19, 2021. Frank was born on March 24, 1939 to the late William Redding Chambers, Sr. and Alice Cherry Chambers. He was one of nine brothers and sisters. Mr. Chambers worked as the Plant Manager at South GA Pecan Company for many years. He also served in the National Guard for 11 years. He loved to work in his shop and was known as a handyman. Everyone who knew him knows that he was a man of his word and had a way of making everyone feel loved and accepted. He was very passionate about his family and was lovingly referred to as Papa.

Frank is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dot” Chambers, two daughters and a son, Sherry (Dan) Estes, Tracy (Jimmy) Gay, Richard (Melissa) Chambers; Grandchildren, Henry Christopher Selph, Jessica Chambers, Travis Chambers, Jada Gay, Abby Estes, Bradley Patton, and Emily Patton. Great Grandchildren, Leo Patton and Rowan Phillips; he is also survived by one brother, Albert Chambers. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Kaye Willaford Chambers, his granddaughter Brandy Perry, his brothers Harvey Chambers, J.S. Mathis, J.B. Chambers, William R. (Bill) Chambers, Jr. and three sisters Martha Brogna, Ruth Stowell, and Peggy Ussery.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday April 23, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
