Frank George Ruepp, 64, of Valdosta died on Monday, May 4, 2015 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born on August, 31, 1950 in Lippastadt, Germany to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Kamp Ruepp. Mr. Ruepp retired from the United States Army and served during Viet Nam and Desert Storm as a Tactical Communications Chief. Following retirement, he entered into the Civil Service where he retired as a Human Resource Administration officer. The essence of Mr. Ruepp was simply God, family, and country and he believed fully in the ideals of America and all she stands for. He was a member of First Christian Church and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joan Ruepp of Valdosta; a daughter and son-in-law, Krista and Ty Starnes of Jacksonville, North Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Donny and Stephanie Ruepp of Valdosta; his grandchildren, Ashley and Abby Starnes of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Spencer, Frank and Steven Ruepp of Valdosta.
A memorial service for Frank George Ruepp will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church of Valdosta with Rev. Chris Michael officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Mr. Ruepp will be interred at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
