Francisco Hinojo, 77, of Valdosta, died on Monday, August 13, 2007, at Smith Northview Hospital. Born in Bergel, Mexico on June 15, 1930, he was the son of the late Juan Hinojo and Anita Gonzalez. Mr. Hinojo was a farmer and a member of the Valdosta Baptist Hispanic Mission. He enjoyed being outside and working in his yard. In his neighborhood he loved to walk and play bingo.
Survivors are his wife, Mara Hinojo of Valdosta; daughters and sons in law, Anita and Alfredo Cruz of Texas, Maria T. and Santos Vasquez of Houston, Maria E. Beltran of Texas, Martina Rodriquez, Maria T. Rodriquez, Elizabeth Sarabia and Mireya Reza all of Valdosta; sons and daughters in law, Juan and Leticia Hinojo, Ramon and Manuela Hinojo, Francisco and Yolanda Hinojo, Luis and Angelita Hinojo all of Valdosta. Also surviving are two sisters, fifty grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Juanita Hinojo, a son, Jose Hinojo and another son.
Services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at four p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Dr. Felix Valdez and Reverend Ovedio Cabrerra will officiate. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
