FRANCES FAY CAMP ALLEN, 91, of Jacksonville, Florida and formerly of Valdosta died Friday, June 9, 2006 at the Regents Park Nursing Home in Jacksonville, Fla. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina on May 7, 1915 to the late Otis O. and Fay Astin Camp and had lived in Valdosta from 1945 until 1995 when she moved to Jacksonville. Mrs. Allen received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Carolina and was a member of the Parkwood Baptist Church in Jacksonville and a former member of the First Baptist Church in Valdosta.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter in law, Samuel O. Allen of Jacksonville, Don and Mary Allen of Valdosta, two grandsons and granddaughters in law, John and Katina Allen of Valdosta, Brian and Melissa Allen of Middleburg, Fla., one great grandchild, Kevin Allen of Middleburg, Fla, one sister and brother in law, Mary and Jesse Charlton of Houston, TX. and special friend, Connie Christie of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Allen.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Diamond officiating.
