Frances “Charlene” Schreffler, 82, of Hahira died recently and peacefully at home. She was born in Sumner, Worth County, GA on April 2, 1939 to the late William Marshall Sessions and Virginia Ruth Sargent Sessions. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Mrs. Schreffler enjoyed gardening, yard sales, cooking and birds, especially cardinals and hummingbirds. She was a 1957 graduate of Tift County High School.
Mrs. Schreffler is survived by her sons, William D. “Bill” Schreffler of Hahira, Keith D. Schreffler of Arlington, VA and Kevin A. Schreffler (Andrew C. Angier) of Atlanta, grandchildren, Christopher R. Orr and Alexander G. Schreffler, great grandchildren, Parker R. Orr, Kadyn M. Orr, June B. Bartlett and Kalli P. Baxter. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Daniel Schreffler, daughter, Frances Teresa Taylor and grandsons, Kyle Patrick Orr and James Steven Orr, Jr.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Sumner Cemetery in Sumner, Worth County, GA. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Humane Society.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at her home, 6863 Shiloh Road, Hahira, GA 31632.
