Floyd Watson, 51, of Hahira, died Monday, July 18, 2005 at Smith Northview Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1953 in Hahira and was an automobile mechanic and a house mover.
He is survived by his mother, Julia Simmons of Enigma, GA, four brothers, Odell Watson, Jr. of Live Oak, FL, Billy Joe Watson and fiancé Patty Kennedy of Hahira, John Henry Watson of Bellville, FL, Shawn Simmons of Jacksonville, FL, cousin, Julia Watson Bass of Hahira, six grandchildren, Julia Diane Guess, Christopher Allen McMurray, Thomas Albert Taylor, Damarian Moore, Damiya Moore, Dammerra Moore, several nieces, nephews and cousins and two sisters in law, Joye Watson of Panama City, FL and Carol Watson of Wellborn, FL. Mr. Watson is preceded in death by his father, Odell Watson and two brothers, Johnny O. Watson and Chris Simmons.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at eleven a. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Franklin McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Cemetery in Cook County. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
