Flora (Flo) Mcguire

FLORA (FLO) McGUIRE 90, of Valdosta died Friday, December 8, 2006 at Langdale Place. She was born on August 12, 1916 in Taylor County, Florida to the late Oliver and Ida Farnell and had been a resident of Tampa, Florida from 1940 until 2004 when she moved to Valdosta to be near her daughter. She worked as a secretary during World War II at MacDill Field and following that she worked for over 30 years for General Telephone Company in Tampa, Florida. During her retirement years Mrs. McGuire enjoyed her years with the Senior Center and Ball Room Dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. E. McGuire and a son, Kenneth McGuire.

Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Eloise and Bill Jordan of Valdosta, a daughter in law, Linda McGuire of Tampa, Fla., two grandsons, Kim Jordan of Phoenix and Richard McGuire of Tampa, Fla., one granddaughter and grandson in law, Sharon and Gary Berglund, three great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
