Flora Ellen Gooden

FLORA ELLEN GOODEN 61, of Ray City died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Smith Northview Hospital of a sudden illness. She was born on December 24, 1945 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky to the late Charles Roy and Laura Ellen Crunk and had lived in this area for four years. Mrs. Gooden was a Christian and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Kentucky. She was a registered nurse and throughout her life she enjoyed being a nurse helping everyone she could. She retired from nursing when she left Beaverdam Health Care Manor.

Survivors include her three daughters and sons in law, Cheryl and Mike Green of Ray City, Ellen and Chris Hensley of Barborville, KY., and Laura and Billy Poole of Russellville, KY., her beloved grandchildren, Christopher Garrett Green, Hannah Green, Jodie Green, Kendra Green and Michael Green, Jr. all of Ray City and Travis Hensley, Jr. of Barborville, KY., one brother, Roy Crunk of Central City, KY and several nieces and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Good Hope Cemetery in Naylor. Visitation will be held from 9am until 10am on Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home.
