Faye Mobley Johnson Vick, 62, died on Saturday, January 15, 2005, at her home in Brooks County. Born in Lowndes County, July 15, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Charlie F. and Carrie Dell Sadler Mobley. She had retired from ceramic making and was a member of Redland Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her parents, a son, Charlie Johnson and brothers, Bobby and Vernon Mobley; she is survived by her husband, Roger Dell Vick of Quitman, sons, Bobby (Cyndy) Johnson, John Johnson all of Quitman, former daughter in law, Sibyl (Blaine) Dillon of Lake Park, special brother in law, Buddy Vick of Quitman; grandchildren, Wesley, Tabatha and Charlie Johnson, Melissa Roberson, Danette and Johnny Diakogiannis, Michelle and Kenny Stone; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Irene (George) Brown of Brooks County, sisters in law who were like her sisters, Sandy Sadler of Brooks County and Carolyn Croft of Valdosta; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Donnie Wright will officiate and burial will follow at Redland Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
