FAYE J. BRANTLEY, of Valdosta died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on January 10, in Lowndes County to the late William Beaveart and Mattie Clyde Peace Jackson and was a lifelong resident of Lowndes County. Mrs. Brantley was an active member of the Redland Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Gilbert Brantley of Valdosta, her children and their spouses, Pam and William Horton, Clay and Cindy Parker, Dana Brantley all of Valdosta, Bert and Tonya Brantley of McDonough, six grandchildren, Clay II (Amanda) Parker, Travis (Kelley) Parker, Katelyn Parker, Kendall Brantley, Carson Brantley and Savannah Hitchner, sister and brother in law, Bonita and Rannell Cotton, brothers and sisters in law, Tim and Susan Jackson, Wade and LaVerne Jackson and Kenneth and Carolyn Jackson all of Valdosta and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Troy A. Parker, a sister, Emily Cannon and her parents in law, Albert and Irene Brantley.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Redland Baptist Church with the Rev. Jay Watkins officiating. Entombment will follow in Redland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Brantley will lie in state at the church from 1:30pm until service time.
