Fannie Sue Rogers Lacey Moxley

February 8, 1928 — April 3, 2020

Fannie Sue Rogers Lacey Moxley, 92, of Valdosta, died on Friday, April 3, 2020. Born in Brooks County, on February 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Carlos Benton and Fannie Lou Hiers Rogers. She was a homemaker and a telephone operator for Southern Bell. Mrs. Moxley was a member of Francis Lake Baptist Church. Mrs. Moxley and husband, David, were active in the Lowndes County Senior Center activities. They especially enjoyed the dances and senior trips.
Survivors are her husband, Robert David Moxley of Valdosta; a son, Jerry (Lea) Lacey of Valdosta, daughter, Lynn Corlette (Randy) Casagrande of Lee County; sister, Charlotte Cloud of Enoch Lake, grandchildren, Blake Lacey, Mike Lacey, Jr., Brandon Lacey, Johnathan (Scarlett) Lacey; Shawn (Daniel) Weldon, Dustin Casagrande; great grandchildren, Makenzie and Gavin Lacey and Deegan Weldon. Mrs. Moxley was preceded in death by a son, Mike Lacey and her first husband, Gerald Major Lacey.
Private graveside memorial services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Morrison Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverend Jack Seiverd will officiate. Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the Moxley family.
