Evelyn Williamson Fant Lendeck

Evelyn Williamson Fant Lendeck, 89, of Hahira, died after a lengthy illness on Saturday, May 31, 2008 at South Georgia Medical Center. Born on June 4, 1918 in Donalds, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Annie Gertrude Williamson. Formerly of Ocala, FL Mrs. Lendeck had lived in this area for the past two years. She retired from the Marion County School System as a Dietitian and worked for several years in the gift shop at Silver Springs in Ocala. She was a loving and unselfish mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to play cards and bowl with her many friends. Mrs. Lendeck was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Ann and Bob Swindle of Hahira; son-in-law, T. Carroll Mills of Ocala, FL; grandchildren and their spouses, Darrell and Laura Swindle of Valdosta, Dana and Dean Boruff of Hahira, Mitch Mills of Ocala, FL, Molly and Luke White of Williston, FL; eight great grandchildren; special niece, Patricia Undercoffer of Ocala, FL and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Lendeck is also survived by her special friend, Roseanna Rogers of Ocala, FL; stepson, Ken Lendeck of Rochester, NY and a stepdaughter, Delores Weeks of Ocala, FL. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Hansel Fant and Chester Lendeck; daughter, Sherry Lynn Mills and two sisters and a brother.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2008 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Ocala, FL with Dr. Jack Paulk and Rev. Daniel Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the service.
