Evelyn Walker Hand

EVELYN WALKER HAND, 97, of Valdosta and formerly of Millville, New Jersey died Monday, October 16, 2006 at Langdale Place. She was born on August 17, 1909 in Millville, New Jersey to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Joseph Walker and was a lifelong resident of Millville, New Jersey before moving to Valdosta five years ago. Mrs. Hand was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Childs of Valdosta, a brother and sister in law Charles and Doris Walker of Albuquerque, NM., a niece and nephew, Jennifer and Dr. Craig Bishop of Valdosta, four nephews, Alexander Childs of Goleta, Calif. and Tom Childs of Cincannati, Ohio, Bruce Walker and Glenn Walker both of Albuquerque, NM., great nieces, Karly Bishop of Valdosta, Tatiana Childs of Goleta, Calif. and great nephew, Cameron Childs of Goleta, Calif.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 in the chapel of Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home in Millville, New Jersey with burial to follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Millville, New Jersey.
