EVELYN LIGHTSEY CAIN, 83, of Hahira died Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on July 11, 1922 in Lanier County to the late Caulie Lee and Pearl Phillips Lightsey and had lived in Hahira for many years. Mrs. Cain was a retired medical assistant and a member of the Hahira First Baptist Church. She had touched many lives during her lifetime.
Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Judy and Tommy Zeigler of Lake Park, son and daughter in law, Johnny and Betty Cain of Hahira, five grandchildren, Stephen Zeigler, Gina Zeigler, Sandi Woodard, Kris Cain and John Cain, 7-great grandchildren, a very special sister in law, Ruby Arnold of Valdosta, one brother, Russell Lightsey of Plant City, Fla., and one sister, Blanche Hatton of Haines City, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Cain.
Graveside services will be held at 2pm, Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. David Gordon officiating.
