Our beloved mother and grandmother, Christine Singletary, 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Ga, after a short illness.
Visitation will be at McLane Funeral Home on Saturday, July 29, from 6 -8 pm. A service of worship and celebration of her life will be held on Sunday afternoon, July 30, at 2:00 pm at Park Avenue United Methodist Church where she and her husband were members for many years.Reverend Craig Rikard will officiate at the service. She has lived in Lawrenceville, GA, near her son for the last 10 years.
She is survived by two children, Scooter Singletary of Lawrenceville, Ga, and Barbara Voss of San Antonio, TX, a daughter-in-law, Margie Singletary, and a son-in-law, John Voss, six grandchildren, Derek Mack of San Antonio, TX, Amanda (John) Cronin of Cheyenne, WY, Monty Singletary of Baton Rouge, LA, Ben Singletary of Atlanta, GA, Christine Voss, of Houston, TX, and Courtney (Michael) Unruh of Dallas, TX. She also has five great grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, and William Unruh and Caedon and Emilia Cronin. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Frank Singletary of Orlando, FL, his wife Joyce Singletary and a sister-in-law Virginia Griffin of Atlanta, GA. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Singletary, her parents, Ottowell and Anna Rowe and her daughter, Marsha Mack, and by all seven of her siblings.
