Evan Alexander Souris, 23, of Lake Park, died from injuries received in an automobile accident on Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on June 13, 1993, he was the son of Nicholas Anthony Souris and Maria Theresa Freimark. In 1998, Evan moved to Lowndes County with his family. He attended Clyattville Elementary, Lowndes Middle School and graduated from Lowndes High School in 2012, where he was a member of the Georgia Bridgemen and the Interact Club. After high school Evan served briefly in the U.S. Navy. He had worked for eLead and Union Tank Car and currently was employed with ADM. He had an infectious love of life, and he especially loved his wife and daughter and all other family members. Evan was a creative individual, enjoyed music and drawing, never met a stranger and loved to tease and make people smile.
Evan is survived by his wife, Jennifer Souris of Lake Park; daughter, Kristabella Raine Souris of Lake Park; mother, Maria ( step father- James) Herrin of Valdosta; father, Nick Souris of Hamden, Connecticut; sisters, Mercedes Cano of Chicago, Allison Souris and Kinsey Herrin both of Valdosta; father in law and mother in law, James and Susan McMullen of Lake Park; paternal grandparents, Peter and Georgia Souris of Phoenix, Arizona, maternal grandmother, Judith Freimark of Franklin, Wisconsin; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard O. Freimark.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home. Mr. John Klimko will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home until 6 p.m. The family would like to request that everyone wear purple, Evan's favorite color, to the services.
