Eugene Talmadge Crews

Eugene Talmadge Crews, 89, of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, at his home. He was born in Waycross, GA on August 20, 1932, to the late Charlie B. Crews and Julie Altman Crews. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a supervisor for the Paper Mill. Mr. Crews enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his yard, and riding his bicycle. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Mr. Crews was a member of Lake Park Baptist Church.
Mr. Crews is survived by his wife of 72 years, Latrelle Harris Crews, of Valdosta; his children, Ronald (Ron) and Barbara Crews, Robert (Bob) and Vickie Crews, all of Valdosta, Debbie and Mike Franks, Karen and James Nellis, all of Hahira; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
A service for Mr. Crews will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at 11am in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Dawson and Rev. Jason Spell officiating. Burial will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
