Eugene F. "Rawhide" Fender

Eugene F. “Rawhide” Fender, 65, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, March 13, 2005. Mr. Fender was born in Valdosta to the late Eugene F. Fender and to Estelle E. Fender Scruggs, and was a lifelong resident of this area. He attended Valdosta High School and Valdosta Business College. Mr. Fender was employed by the City of Valdosta, had also worked at several area Dry Cleaning Companies and was a charter member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church.

Mr. Fender is survived by his mother, Estelle E. Scruggs, of Valdosta, a bother and sister in law, James R. & Pamela Fender of Valdosta; a sister and brother in law, Carol & Larry Tewell of Lawrenceville, a sister, Frances Villano of Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Funeral Services for Mr. Fender will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Rev. Craig Rikard will officiate. Condolences may be conveyed to the family on the obituary page of www.mclanefuneralservices.com Carson McLane Funeral Home.
