Ethel B. Ganas

Ethel B. Ganas, 83, of Valdosta died at Langdale Hospice House on April 6, 2008. Born on January 1, 1925 in Lanier County, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Alice Woods Brantley. She was a homemaker and member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and W.G. Walker of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Stacy Ganas of Cumming; grandchildren, Shanna and Kerry Quinn, Shea Walker all of Valdosta, Preston Ganas and Rae Ganas, both of Cumming; great grandson, John Walker Quinn of Valdosta; sister, Margaret Stokes of Maccleney, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.R. Ganas and other brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 2263 Pineview Dr, Valdosta, GA 31602.
