Esperanza Hernandez Torres

Esperanza H. Torres, 62, of Lake Park, Georgia, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Healthcare in Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Torres was born in Texas on December 14, 1953, to the late Erasmo Hernandez and Avelia Anzualda. She moved to Immokalee, Florida and she grew up in South Florida, where she met Jaun Torres at a fair in 1970. She and Juan were married and moved to Lowndes County in the mid 1980's. Mrs. Torres was a diligent and hard working crew leader for Coggins Farms for many years. She loved cooking and eating with family and friends. She kept everyone straight by freely sharing her motherly advice and wisdom.
Survivors are her husband, Juan Torres of Lake Park; sons, Ruben Reyes and Dunia Rodrigues of Jennings, Armando Reyes, Benito Reyes both of Jennings, Miguel Angel Reyes of Lake Park; sisters, Esther Maria Castillo of Jennings, Anontia Hernandez of Immokalee, Florida, brother, Erasmo Hernando, Jr., of Immokalee, Florida; grandchildren, Juan Armando Reyes, Amanda Lee Reyes, Carlos Alexis Reyes, Hopic Marie Reyes, Armando Reyes, Jr., Cynthia Reyes, Gustavo Reyes, Ricardo Reyes, Benito Reyes, Jr., Erika Jasmine Reyes and numerous other relatives, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McLane Lakewood Funeral Home on Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Condolences may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
