Ervin Anthony "Tony" Goodin, 59, of Naylor died Thursday, August 20, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born in Valdosta on April 10, 1956 and had lived in this area all of his life. Tony was a member of the Pleasant Way Baptist Church. He worked for Southern Fish and Oyster Company for thirty years and then as a route salesman at Lance Snack Foods. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Tammy Powell Goodin of Naylor; two sons, Anthony Blair Goodin of Ray City and Thomas Comer Goodin of Naylor, his mother, Christelle H. Goodin of Naylor; his brother and sister in law, Louie and Susan Goodin of Jennings, FL; sister and brother in law, Angie and Dan Sheffer of Fayetteville, GA; parents in law, Harvey and Melba Powell of Valdosta; brothers in law and sister in law, Payton Powell of Valdosta, Krystal and Timmy Hiers of Bainbridge, GA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Louis Goodin and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Sunday, August 23, 2015 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
