Eric Thomas Anderson passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021. Eric was born to Tom and Pam Anderson in Jacksonville, Florida on May 26, 1985. The family moved to Valdosta in 1986 where Eric grew up and attended Open Bible Christian School and Valdosta City Schools, graduating from Valdosta High in 2003. He enjoyed playing sports and beginning at a young age he spent many week nights at the Boys and Girls Club playing baseball. He continued his baseball career into high school where he pitched for Open Bible Christian School. While he enjoyed many sports, his true passion was golf, which he continued to play until the very end, and if there is golf in heaven, he is playing it there now. He enjoyed his work as a salesman and was very sociable and personable with his customers, which made him good at his job. Eric liked to tell others that he began his career at age 3 at Southern Builders Supply with his Dad. He would go to the store at a young age and this is where his love for the business began. He worked in this field for several companies ending with Southern Lumber Company. His real pride and joy was his son Mason, with whom he loved sharing his passion for golf, fishing and FSU sports.
Survivors are his wife, Stacy Anderson; son, Mason Anderson; stepchildren, Ethan Cox and Halle May Cox; parents, Tom and Pam Anderson; sister, Christy (John) Schaubeck; niece, Giavanna Schaubeck; parents in law, Anita and Chip Moore; brother-in-law, Darrel Hall, Jr. all of Valdosta; grandparents, Russell and Sandra Powell of Brooksville Florida; along with several uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Peggy Anderson, Curtis and Joan Green, and father-in-law Darrel Hall, Sr.
