Eric Andrew Pedersen

Eric Andrew Pedersen, 69, of Valdosta, passed away, at South Georgia Medical Center on Sunday, September 10, 2017, following a long illness. Born in Flushing, New York, on May 27, 1948, he was the son of the late Gilbert Eric Pedersen and Janet Stephenson Pedersen. Mr. Pedersen retired from the United States Air Force after 20 ½ years of service and then continued working in Civil Service for 17 years. A true American Patriot he supported his brothers in arms in many ways. He was a Mason and he enjoyed working with wood and shopping online. He loved time spent with his grandchildren and his beloved pets, Molly and Bella.
Survivors are his wife, LaDonna Pedersen, Valdosta; daughters, Cheri (John) Harden, Pawnee, Illinois, Melinda (Leonardo) Ruiz, Valdosta, Dennise (Mark) Cook of Jacksonville, Florida, Jennifer (Kerry) Corbett, New Port Ritchie, Florida; a son, Gilbert (Amy Thompson) Pedersen, Lees' Summit, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Charlie Fulcher, Hayden Fulcher, Murrayville, Clay Harden, Chelby Harden, Pawnee, Illinois, Griffin Cook, Jacksonville, Florida, Jax Ruiz, Sophia Ruiz, Valdosta; brother, George (Barb) Pedersen, Wausa, Wisconsin.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Brian Sayre will officiate. In lieu of flowers please make donations to BARC Humane Society, Inc. PO Box 574 Valdosta, Georgia, 31603.
