Emory Marlyn Carter, Jr., 64, of Naylor, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 following a brief illness. He was born in Valdosta on September 11, 1955 to the late Emory Marlyn Carter, Sr., and Betty Rigdon Carter. He was a graduate of Lowndes County High School and was an avid Lowndes Vikings, Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldog, and Valdosta State Blazers fan. He also loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed the great outdoors.
He is survived by his mother, Betty R. Carter, his wife, Ann L. Carter (Schroeder), and his brother, Paul Carter all of Naylor; his nephews, Richard Carter and Matthew Johnson both of Valdosta, and his step-daughter, Sarah McLaughlin of St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his father, Emory Marlyn Carter, Sr.
