Emma Sapp Weldon

September 27, 1925 — February 13, 2011

Emma Sapp Weldon, 85 of Live Oak, Florida died Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Suwannee Healthcare Center in Live Oak. She was born in Valdosta on September 27, 1925 to the late Jim and Emma Ruis Sapp and was a lifelong resident of this area. Mrs. Weldon was a Pentecostal.

Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Margie and Earl Cothron of Brooks County, Bonnie and Edgar Wood of Live Oak, Fla., one son and daughter in law, Joe and Brenda Weldon of Douglas, grandchildren, Lisa Newel, Tammy Higgs, Eric Wood, Nina White, Allen Weldon, Cookie Weldon, Dewanda Weldon, great grandchildren, Marie Joiner, Erika Wood, Jace Wood, Samantha White and Joshua White, great great granddaughter, Julia Joiner, one sister, Alberta Harris of Palatka, Fla., one brother, Richard Sapp of San Mateo, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miley Weldon.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Edgar Wood and Rev. Eric Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
